Special Sunday Evening Yoga with Sonya Verma

Restore your body and calm your mind with our bi-weekly restorative yoga sessions set in our serene, and beautiful studio. Our gentle, all-level classes are designed to release stress, mind and muscle tension, and help bring balance.

This Sunday, special guest, Sonya Verma, will be leading the class.

Bring water and a mat if you have one, but we do have extras.

6:15-6:30 - Enjoy some refreshments before you head out

ABOUT SONYA

Sonya Verma MHSA, MBI is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, 1000-hour E-RYT Yoga and Sound therapist.She received her bachelor of science in human nutrition from the University of Kentucky and two master’s degrees: a master’s in Healthcare Administration from Xavier University and a Master’s in Business Informatics from Northern Kentucky University. While getting her Masters Degree at Xavier University she specialized her degree in long term care. Prior to completing her master’s degree, she attended medical school for two years but pivoted to focus on other integrative health modalities and has worked in corporate healthcare for many years.

She has also been involved in clinical studies in meditation & health rhythms. In addition, she has spent over 15 years studying varying somatic movement, embodiment, meditation and bodywork practices with a focus on trauma-informed care in addition to several yoga traditions. She has earned her 1000 E-RYT Yoga Practitioner certification and is in the process of pursuing a degree in yoga therapy. Sonya has focused on preserving the traditional practices of Ayurveda & Yoga while adapting to the modern applications of our current times.
