Embodied Resilience: A Virtual Meditation Practice for the Inner Heart

In a time when it can feel harder to focus, to slow down, or even to meet ourselves and one another with kindness, this monthly meditation is an invitation to return—to love.

As Sweetgum Manor’s first virtual offering, this series extends our practice beyond the physical space—creating access to gather, reflect, and reconnect from wherever you are.

Guided by Swami Jaya Devi, these gatherings offer a gentle space to reconnect with the heart, soften the mind, and rest in a deeper awareness of presence and compassion. Rooted in ancient wisdom, this practice reminds us that love is not something we have to find—it is something we remember.
Blending dharma talk, breathwork, and meditation, the experience supports you in softening, listening inward, and accessing the innermost heart—an inexhaustible source of clarity, power, and love.

Offered monthly via Zoom, you’re welcome to join for a single session or move more deeply into the practice with a 3-class pack.

Upcoming dates: June 10, July 8, August 12

Come once, or return each month to deepen your practice in community.

About Swami Jaya Devi

Swami Jaya Devi is a mindfulness teacher, author, meditation and breathwork facilitator and urban yogi. She is an authorized Swami – a revered spiritual teacher – and an insightful guide and mentor. By crafting yoga’s ancient wisdom teachings into modern, accessible tools, Swami brings joy, depth and down-to-earth humor to the process of inner healing and personal transformation.

Swami leads dharma talks, mindfulness sessions and meditation trainings all over the globe…in the last few months at the renowned Tassajara Zen Monastery in Big Sur, California, and the incomparable Fetzer Institute, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has taught at the CDC, CNN, Coca Cola, Georgia Tech, Parliament of the World’s Religions, Ft. Lauderdale Yoga Festival, Upswell Conference, and Atlanta PRIDE. She has trained hundreds of teachers, many of whom teach worldwide.

Swami Jaya Devi is also the author of the Amazon bestseller Embodied: An Urban Yogi's Memoir + Manifesto for Modern Living. She has been inspiring people to use non-denominational spiritual practice to avoid burnout and “drink as they pour” for over 30 years.

But Swami’s passion is love – love that is lived, love that is our birthright. She is incredibly skilled at using the tools of practice to ignite the innermost heart. This allows each of us to become radically present, still, and at home within fierce, loving awareness. This, Swami believes, is how we heal the world – one person, one radiant open heart at a time.
